We officially began building Kuda in April 2026. During this month, we laid the groundwork for everything behind the scenes. We formed our LLC, signed legal documents, established banking relationships, and launched our brand development.

We partnered with a professional logo and brand designer early on to create our visual identity. Logo, typography, color palette, stationery, and more. We knew getting the fundamentals right from day one would set us up for success.

In June, we got serious about the legal fundamentals. We dug into what partnerships with retailers would look like, how to structure our LLC, and other essentials. We brought on a lawyer to help us build contract templates we'll use down the road. Everything from photography releases to consignment agreements and beyond.

In June, we started sketching out ideas for our hats and polos, mostly focusing on the artwork. After weeks of exploring different concepts, we narrowed it down to five polo designs worth developing professionally.

In August, we brought on a professional polo designer to help refine our designs for production. We worked through several rounds of revisions to nail the look we had in mind. After the designer developed all five concepts, we selected our top three to move forward with.

September was full of energy. We nailed down our polo designs and immediately started reaching out to manufacturers to find partners who could deliver quality craftsmanship and premium materials without breaking the bank. After careful vetting, we found our manufacturers, the ones who truly got our vision. From there, things moved fast. We were trading emails daily. We moved to sample production quickly so we could begin refining every detail to make sure our products lived up to the Kuda standard.

Our first samples arrive in October. We'll take time to review every detail. Fit, finish, fabric, everything to make sure each piece meets our standards before we move forward.

We trust our manufacturers, but we're also realistic, the first samples won't be perfect. We expect a few back-and-forth shipments to get every detail just right. The good news? We've built extra time into our timeline so we can make sure everything is truly dialed in before launch.

We're expecting samples to be approved in December. Once we've dialed everything in, we'll move forward with placing our full production order.

In January, we're turning up the volume on socials. We'll be posting daily, going live, connecting with potential ambassadors, and exploring collaborations. Basically, doing everything we can to build awareness and bring new people into the Kuda community. We know visibility matters, and we're committed to making it happen.

One month until launch, we're working hard to get Kuda into pro shops from day one. We've got some great partners already lined up, but we're always looking to connect with more.
